HOCKEY TROPHIES

When the Technical; Old Boys and Albany Clubs held a dance at the Embassy Salon last evening opportunity was taken to present the trophies won during the past season. _ The 100 couples present spent an enjoyable time, the success of the function being duo largely to the effort of Mr O. P. Dey. Mr D. T. Woodfield, president of the Otago Hockey Association, briefly addressed the gathering, and congratulated all who had gained representative honours. The following cups were then presented to club representatives;—Gilray Cup (senior competition), University A; Williamson Cup (junior competition), University C; Gymnastic Memorial Cup (third grade competition), Technical A; Hayward Cup (senior seven-a-side), Albany; Moller Cup (junior seven-a-side), Albany. llepresentativo caps were won by the following senior players:—G. S. Betting, W. .1. Cawkwoll. W. Martin, 0. B. Dey, D. Ward, K, Wadham, C. Whitburn, H. Here, W. Boocoek, G. Silver, D. Pickard, 0. Mayaton, E. Ken nick, Dr 0. Eaton, E. W. Densem, A. Roberts, H. Pickup, F. R. Brebuer, S. I. Pickerstaff, R. Kerr. J. W, Hayward, and H. W. Tyrrell; _ while the following junior players received representative badges— G. Lane, W. S. Woods, S. Lyon, N. Brown, J. B. Galland, B. W. Bedford, W. P. Wellington, K. M. Brown, V, R. Mercer, A. J. Aldred, A. Ritchie, J. S. L. Swift, J. L. Seelye, C. Chirnside, G. A. Patrick, A. L. Sanderson, A. M. Williamson, S. F. Campbell, D. N. Campbell, D. J. Munro, and N. G. Silver. Mr Woodfield then presented to Mr H. Sew Hoy an illuminated address in recognition of his services as secretary of the O.H.A. over a period of nine years. .
