LADIES' CRICKET
ALBANY CLUB The second annual meeting of the 'Albany Ladies’ Cricket Club was held in the Y.M.C.A., Mr 6. Watts presiding over a fair attendance of players. The: report and balance sheet showed the club to be in a very sound position. -The credit balance now stands at' £2 l(ss fid, compared with 8s 7d last year. Both teams, A and B grade, performed in a very creditable manner, being placed third in their respective grades. Trophies for the season were won by Misses B. M'Lean and M. Parker, for best all-rounders in the A grade team, and P. Chandler in the B grade, while Miss J. Logan secured the highest aggregate for the club. Thanks were tendered to the president and vicepresidents for financial assistance, and to the coaches (Messrs Breese' and Twose) for their valuable assistance during the season. The report, and balance sheet were adopted. The election of office-bearers resulted:—President, Mr G. Watts; vicepresidents—Mrs McDonald, Messrs E. Meining, O. Gardner, N. Kenny, M. M'Gratn, J. Gray, F. Hince, F. Breese, F. Bartlett, W. Logan, A. Flett, R. Chandler, and L. Johnson; committee —Misses M. Sinclair, M. Parker, B. M’Lean, J. Haley, M. Gardner, I. Mercer; delegates to 0.L.C.A., Misses B, M'Lean and M. Parker; coaches, Messrs J. Breese and R, Twose; secretary and treasurer, Mrs J. Breese. Two new members were elected. Opening day was fixed for October 5 at Logan Park.
