She is due at Los Angeles on October 5 and San Francisco on October 7. Makura is to leave Sydney on September 26 aud Wellington on October 1 for San Francisco via Rarotonga, Papeete. I WAIKOUAITI ARRIVES. The Waikouaiti arrived yesterday afternoon from Newcastle and Sydney via Bluff, and was berthed at the Birch street wharf to discharge general cargo. The freight includes transhipments from the following vessels:—Neptuna, Marella, Changte, Kamo Maru, Jervis Bay, Comorin, Tudor, Triton, Kyokkoh Maru, Nieuw Zeeland, Baradine, Ericlan. The Waikouaiti is to sail on Friday for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete discharge.WAITAKI AWAY. The Waitaki sailed last evening for Lyttelton and ’ Wellington to complete discharge of Australian cargo. She will then proceed to Bluff and Melbourne. SHEAF HOLME AWAY. The Union ’ Company’s chartered motor ship Sheaf Holme, having discliarged the Dunedin portion of her cargo from Pacific Coast ports,- sailed yesterday afternoon for Melbourne and Sydney to complete discharge. NEW ZEALAND SAILS. Having discharged a part cargo of hulk motor spirit, ' the tanker New Zealand sailed yesterday afternoon for Melbourne and Sydney to complete discharge. ZEALANDIC LEAVES SUVA. The S.S. and A. motor vessel Zealandic, en route from London to New Zealand, left Suva for Lyttelton on Monday. She is due at Lyttelton on September 28, and will then proceed to Dunedin, Bluff, and Timaru for further discharge. HUIA WITH EXPLOSIVES. The Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia left Sydney last’ Thursday for Bi’isbane, Townsville, and Melbourne, At Melbourne she will load explosives for Westport, Greymouth, Dunedin, and Auckland. She is due_ at Greymouth during the first week in November. NEW O.S.K. MOTOR SHIPS. Advice lias been received that two new vessels for the Osaka Shosen Kaisha’s Australian, trade will be in commission next May. Each will be of 7,000 tons, with a speed of 18 knots. The ships will maintain an 11 days’ service between Brisbane and Kobe. There, will be provision for the carriage of chilled beef. MIDDLESEX LEAVES WELLINGTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Middlesex left Wellington yesterday for Lyttelton to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo.
