‘THE SKIN GAME’

TO-NIGHT'S PRESENTATION ‘The Skin, Game,’ by Galsworthy, should prove a great draw to Dunedin theatregoers when it is presented by the Dunedin Repertory Society to-night and for the remainder of this week. It is a play of great human interest—entirely unlike anything hitherto presented by the society, and numbers among its cast some of the finest of local amateur actors. The story tells of a feud between the Hillcrists, an English country family, and the Hornblowers, typical specimens of the nouveau riche. Galsworthy shows how the war of the classes, in the blunt word of money, has followed fire and sword. There is no author of to-day who fathoms English life so deeply as this distinguished playwright. The play for the play’s sake is worth seeing, and the Dunedin Repertory Society, with’ Miss Bessie Thomson as producer, should give a faithful portrayal of it. The cast includes Mr Richard WK J ' Mr Fred. Aveiit, Mr Lees Ballot, Mr William Matthews. Misses Anita Wir kcl. Violet Livingstone, Joyce Messed’, and many other talented members. The play will ho staged by Mr T. Wynne* and incidental music will be supplied by the D.I.C. Orchestra. The box plan, which is now open at the D. 1.0., is filling rapidly. ’
