COMMUNITY SINGING
This week’s sing is going to be an outstanding one, and a splendid pro* gramme is being arranged. Mr R. Colvin (cornetist) is to give solos, and h« is sure to please everyone. Mr J. Pringl* (baritone) will sing ‘ Changing of th* Guard,’ and is assured of a great reception. Mr Desmoulins will again be tn* leader. He is again arranging a good programme of popular numbers. _ Mr Alf. Pettitt will be «t the piano, a» usual. Flowers are always very accept* able for the stall, which is in charge of Mrs MTutyre. Donations can be left at Begg’s or Strand Theatre. The committee appreciates the ;; donation! sent by listeners-in. * ’ . The. sing will be held as usual rn the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of FullerHayward), at 12.15, and it is hoped that another large attendance win be present. Proceeds are ; for the Mayor s Relief Fund. By courtesy of the Otago Rugby Union, the Ranfurly Shield will be on view- on the stage during the shift.
