The Marine Department has been advised .that the radio beacon at Cape Maria Van Diemen is not working. It will be put in order as.sodn as possible. NEW ZEALAND ARRIVES., The motor tanker New Zealand arrived yesterday from San Pedro via Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton, and was berthed at the Victoria, wharf to discharge bulk petrol for the Texa.s Company. The New Zealand is to sail for Melbourne and Sydney to complete discharge. ■ CANADIAN VESSELS^COMING. The Canadian Planter, which left Wellington last Thursday for Newcastle, Sydney, and Melbourne, is to proceed from Australia to Dunedin, where, she is due on October 8 to discharge and load, later completing at Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on October 13, and will leave later for New York, Boston, and Halifax, . _ The Canadian Cruiser, which left Montreal on September 1 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington via Australia, left Panama on September 13. She is due at Bluff on October 30 and at Dunedin on November 2. The Canadian Scottish is reported to Have reached Montreal on September 16. from New Zealand ports.
