ROYAL ACADEMY BANGUET LONDON, May 11. During the speech of the Prime Minister,' Mr MacDonald, at the Academy banquet, which he confined to the achievements of the - Government, one of the guests interjected: “Why not say something about the present exhibition? ” ' , , I*,, Mr MacDonald made an inaudible reply, and then continued, but concluded verv soon afterwards. The incident is unparalleled in the long history of the Academy banquet, and caused- a sensation among the brilliant company.
