DUNEDIN WORKERS’ FRIENDLY ASSOCIATION
The weekly meeting of the above ■association was held on Monday, when a good attendance of members warmly welcomed Bro. S. Braid into the chair. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the retiring officers. Special tributes were paid to Bros. T. Smith, C. Gray, and J. Cleary for their valuable services to the association during the past year, and a suitable presentation was made to each. The Social Committee's report was adopted, and showed that the weekly dances are receiving increasing support. Bro. Cleary reported that the annual social for members would take place on Monday, July 2. Bro. Dyer’s report on the Benevolent was received. A motion by Bro. Wild—that the rules of debate be held over until next meeting—was carried. Supper was served, and the meeting adjourned until next Monday evening.
