SOUTH ISLAND MATCH
Considerable interest is being taken in the South Island trial match to be played at the Show Grounds, Oainaru, on Wednesday, June 27, commencing at 2. Tire curtain-raiser should give an interesting display of football being provided by St. Kevin’s College and Waitaki B.H.S. From the number of requests for reservation of grandstand seats already received by the/ North Otago Rugby Union, to whom the New Zealand Union has delegated the making of arrangements for the match, it is evident that a very large number of football enthusiasts will attend the match. Admission charges are notified by advertisement in this Issue, and five box plan for grandstand reservations will open on Friday at Begg’s, Oamarn, there being no tax or booking fee. The Ova] is in perfect order for big football, and the South Island team to play thg North Island at Auckland on July T will be selected from this game, and in turn the All Blacks will be selected at Auckland for the Australian tour.
