TO-NIGHT'S WRESTLING
One of the most spectacular and lively wrestling contests yet held in Dunedin should be witnessed at the Town Hall to-night when. Dr Fred Meyer will meet the Chinese grappler, Wong Buk Cheung. The latter has been described as a wrestler with a “ boxful of tricks,” which he brings out at every possible opportunity. ■Meyer, of course, is well known to Dunedin wrestling enthusiasts, and though disqualified in his contest here with Dean Detton, the doctor showed himself to bo one of the greatest straight wrestlers yet to visit New Zealand. He is very powerful and a particularly smooth wrestler, but he will find Cheung a difficult man to pin. Wherever ho has appeared the Chinese lias won the approval of the crowds by his aggressive style of milling, and be will find Meyer willing to go with him all tho way. Cheung has a well-varied attack, and it remains to be seen whether his speed will be sufficient to cope with the doctor’s great strength. The, preliminaries this year have been of a high standard of excellence, and another good programme is promised to-night. Particulars of the contest are advertised.
