GOOD TEMPLARY

The weekly meeting of the Rescue Lodge was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, King Edward street, Kensington, on Tuesday, when C.T. Sister M, Thomas presided over a good attendance of members and visitors. Reports on sick members showed two members laid aside, but favourable progress was shown in both cases. Best wishes were tendered to the lodge from members who were unable to attend for various reasons. The committee for the forthcoming anniversary submitted its re port of suggested arrangements, the re port being received and adopted. Tim juvenile temples—Radiant Morn and Star of the South—were reported to bo bolding good meetings, though the attendance of members could be greater. The harmony section of the session was contributed to by the following:— Solos—Sisters M. Coates, R. Coates, Mrs Leishman, Bro. E. J. lies; recitation, Sister D. Leckie. Questions and answers were conducted by Sister Hallis, and proved an amusing item. Greetings were received from Bro. and Sister Honeyman, of the International Lodge; Bro. M. Watts, .Portsmouth; Sister Bcatb. Hope of Dunedin Lodge; Uro. Seque, Hope of Caversliam Lodge AH the greetings were heartily recipro catcd Supper was provided, and the session was closed with the usual ceremonies, conducted by the C.T. and of fleers. The Hope of Dunedin Lodge held its regular session in the Radiant Health Hall, St. Andrew street, Bro. Rackley, chief templar, presiding. Bro. Dalton (district councillor) was given a hearty welcome. ’Reports on the meetings of the Rescue Lodge, Radiant Morn, and Silver Star Temples were received Votes of sympathy were passed to brothers who had been laid aside through accidents. Preparations for the visit of the Star of Freedom Lodge was final ised. The ritual reading competitions were indulged in by all the members Bro. Dalton was chosen as judge. Sister Beatli was declared the winner. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Bro. Dalton for his services.
