OUTRAGE IN CHINA SHOT BY ROBBERS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SHANGHAI, Juno 15. Brief news has been received of the tragjc murder of Dr J. H. Ingram, of the American Board of Missions at Peking, who was shot and killed by robbers at his summer home at Shihchingshan, in the Western Hills. Mrs Ingram and her daughter witnessed the shooting. Dr Ingram’s death removes one of the most notable figures in Chinese missionary circles. Ho was seventy-five years of age, and spent forty-six years in China, where ho carried out pioneer work in medical research. He was the author of manuals on these subjects in the Chinese language.
