MOSGIEL COURT
(Before Mr J, R. Bartholomew, S.M.) The following business was transacted at the Mosgiel Court yesterday BREACH OF THE BY-LAWS. Hugh Higgins was convicted and ordered to pay court costs amounting to 10s on a cliarge of being the ownei of an unlighted motor car. On a similar charge Owen David Helm was convicted and fined 10s, with costs (10s). CLAIMS FOR DEBT. Judgment was given for the'-plaintiff in the following undefended civil cases :—Mosgiel Industrial Co-operative Society Ltd. v. John Connor (North Taieri), £1 10s 3d, balance of account owing, with costs (13s); Thomas JamesFinnic v. Ernest Graham (Brighton). £1 15s, for work done, with costs (£ Is) JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. John Si Turnbull v. Thomas W. Simmons, , claim for £4 5s 9d. Tlu judgment debtor was ordered to pay tin amount claimed, with costs (12s), n default five days’ imprisonment, th< warrant to be suspended provided* h< paid. 5s a week, the first payment to I made on June 25. Anne Millan v. William Thomson claim for £3 15s 6d. The judgmen debtor was ordered to pay the amoun claimed, with costs, in default foui days’ imprisonment, the warrant to b< suspended provided he paid 10s a weel the first payment to be made on Jun< 25. UNLAWFULLY ON PREMISES. Martin Egerton, John William Tay lor, and John Dawson Mawdsley wen each charged with being unlawfully on licensed premises, and were convicted and fined 10s, with court costs (12s) in each case.
