GOOD MYSTERY NOVEL
From the pen of Roger Denbie comes a thrilling and entertaining murder mystery (‘ The Time-table Murder ), that should not fail to please the most particular of mystery lovers. The scene of the novel is set for the most part on the Limited Express running between Boston and Washington. As the train is leaving Manhattan Transfer, Lowell Wallis is found dead in his compartment, and by chance the sleeping car porter notifies Dr Quentin Pace, who_ is on board and who happens to be interested in criminology. At first it looks as if Wallis had taken his own life, but on closer examination Dr Paco decides that it is murder, and at once informs the Philadelphia police, and then, in conjunction with the detectives, Pace sets out to solve tho mystery. After questioning all the passengers four people are sorted out, and it looks as if an v one of the four could have committed the murder. However, Pace wastes no time in getting to work, and in the short time of twentytwo hours and forty-two minutes solves the crime. The crisp dialogue, excellent character drawing, and unusual plot go to make this book one worth reading. Ivor Nicholson and Watson are the publishers.
