Pieracki, the Polish Minister of the Interior, was leaving his club when three shots were fired at him. , It is feared he was fatally wounded. Another message says that M. Pieracki was hit on the bead and died in hospital. ’’ The police are combing the city, seeking the assailant. SHOT IN THE HEAD AN ABLE POLITICIAN. WARSAW, June 15. (Received June 16, at 11 a.m.) M. Pieracki was shot in the head, and other bullets struck him in the body. The crime is believed to be political. The two men involved in the assassination escaped by scaling a thirty-foot wall. M. Pieracki was one of the ablest of Polish politicians and was expected to succeed to the premiership. He had an adventurous career in the war and fought in the Legion, in which he was a colonel. He was one of Marshal Pilsudski’s closest friends.
