FANCIERS’ SHOW
YESTERDAY'S MULTRY AWARDS The annual show of the Dunedin Fanciers’ Club is attracting a good deal of public attention, large numbers of visitors being in attendance at the Brydone Hall yesterday. , , Among the utility poultry classes the Black Orpingtons, Mmorcas, Leghorns, and Rhode Island Reds were perhaps the outstanding sections, but the judge expressed the opinion that there was hardly a bird on the benches that was not worthy of being shown, and it was only with difficulty that he was able to separate the prize-winners. Hie bird that took his fancy most was a M hue Whom pullet exhibited by Mr E. Anderson, which was one of the best specimens of the breed that he had seen for some time. The homing pigeons, taken throughout, were a good class, and without exception the birds were well shown. The exhibits were not so numerous as last year, but the duality of the birds left nothing to be desired. The champion homer,'Mr H. Holland’s cock, was an outstanding specimen of his type, and was brought forward in first-class condition. As was the case in the homing classes, entries in the fancy pigeons' section were fewer than last year, but the general all-round standard was good. The following is the balance of the prize list in connection with the awards lor feathered exhibits:— POULTRY, SJessrs W. Tibbies and A. S. Jarvie. VARIOUS BREEDS. Houdan cock.—lV. Webster 1.
