SOUTHDOWN SHEEP SOCIETY. ANNUAL MEETING. [Pn* Unitio Press Association.] PALMERSTON NORTH, June 15. At the annual meeting of the Southdown Sheep Society of New Zealand it was stated that the effort to get all registered Southdovvus into one iiock book had been successful. The balancesheet showed a surplus for the year of £6OO. The reserves amounted to over £3,500. The chairman Mr H, Burrell, of Feildingj suggested keeping the present assets intact but to return some of the inqome to members by way of reduced fees. Subsequently the council was given power to make a reduction as it thought fit. The following officers were elected : President, Mr H. Burrell: vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. Brooks (Canterbury) and J.
