BRIBERY
“A WORLD EVIL" LONDON, May 39. Sir Danger Owen,' former New South Wales judge in divorce, told the AntiBribery League to-day that there was definite need for the league in Australia, although Australia was no worse than elsewhere. ■ ' " Public men have been charged before Royal Commissions in New South .Wales,” he said, “ but, like most Royal Commissions, the results have been unsatisfactory, as the difficulty of obtaining reasonable proof is great.” Sir Danger paid a tribute to the women’s organisations’ support of the Anti-Bribery League in New South Wales, and added that the league was at present consolidating its position before prosecuting, and'hoped to gain sufficient evidence to support definite charges.
