TWO COASTAL STEAMERS BOTH SHIPS DAMAGED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, June 13. The coastal steamers Bonaldo and Gwydir collided near the entrance to Newcastle Harbour to-day. Large holes were torn in the bows of both vessels above the water line. The collision occurred in a dense fog when several vessels, including the Gwydir. were hove-to outside the harbour awaiting a chance to enter. Visibility was not more than 60yds, fog horns and sirens having been kept going for hours.
