HOVEL HEATING SYSTEM , LONDON. May 21. The homes of the future may be heated by the wallpaper - A London scientist—working on the principle that the human body is always radiating heat to colder objects—lias invented a system which will raise the temperature of any room as high as that needed for human well-being. In his new wallpaper there is embedd.en au elaborate system of fine coppernickel, netting. . , : The walls of a room are scraped and sandpapered-. ■ Cracks are filled with a non-conducting paint. The whole surface is treated with whitewash, and the prepared wallpaper is,applied in the ordinary way, • • When the netting is connected with the electrical system the resistance to the current raises the temperature as high as 85deg Fahrenheit—if you don t mind perspiring.
