FORESTRY

A special meeting of Court Little John was held on Saturday evening for the purpose of receiving an official visit from Court Bruce, and. although the wintry conditions that prevailed were not conducive to ti large attendance, about forty members were present. The visitors from Court Bruce, numbering twenty-eight, Were introduced by P.C.R. Bro. Thomson, and received a hearty welcome. One new candidate was initiated h.v the C.R.. assisted by I,P.C.R. Bro. Thomson, the welcome being extended by S.C.R. Bro. Christie. Two members from Court Pride of the Leith also paid a visit; and were welcomed by the C.R, The toast of “The Visitorswas responded to by the C ; R.,. Court Bruce, and P.C.R. Bro. Nelson, Court Pride of the Leith. Secretary Bro. Panll, Court Bruce, thanked th*e court for the courtesy shown his members. He complimented the officers on their high standard of efficiency in rendering the ritual, and also upon having honoured their secretary (Bro. Wilson) for his long and faithful service to the court and. the order, and trusted that bo would bo long spared to continue his good work. P, D.C.R. Bro. Wilson expressed his pleasure at meeting with so' many members of Court Bruce. D.B. Bro. Gibson also extended a welcome to Court Bruce. D.C.R. Bro. Thomson also thanked the visitors for their congratulations on his election as D.C.R. P.C.R. Bro. Wardrop also extended a welcome, and spoke of the amount of good done by an interchange of visits, P.C.R. Bro. Kennedy, Court Bruce, thanked the members of Court Little John for the hospitality they had shown, and congratulated the officers upon their efficiency.
