A UNIQUE COMPOSER A Press Association message from Paris yesterday announced the death of Mr Frederick Delius, the famous composer. Born in Bradford, of German parents of Dutch, origin, the late Frederick Delius travelled in Scandinavia for his father’s firm—he was intended for a commercial career. Turning his back on the wool trade, ho fled to Florida and took up orange-planting. But some lessons in counterpoint set forces in motion which next carried him to the Conservatorium at Leipzig.
