The theft of money was admitted by two clerks in the Police Court at Auckland, and both were committed for sentence. Cecil Mould, aged fifty, admitted that by forging duplicate receipts he stole sums totalling £lOl 15s 9d from the Waitemata Power Board, which employed him. He admitted he had been living extravagantly. Conrad Ignatius Gainsborough, aged twentyseven, employed by the Auckland Transport Club, was found to have stolen £2lB 16s 2d, most of which went in betting. ....
