THRILLING MYSTERY DRAMA

1 BOMBAY MAIL' FOR STRAND * Bombay Mail,’ a milc-a-minute mystery thriller, starring Edmund Lowe and Shirley Grey, will be the headline attraction at the Strand Theatre ca Friday. The story starts with the departure of the British Governor from Calcuttawhere, despite previous warnings and attempts upon his life, he insists ou boarding the train without a substantial guard. The passengers on board are the queerest and most dangerous assortment it would be possible to imagine, and it is therefore not surprising that the Governor is found poisoned. At the first station arrived at after the discovery of the crime Inspector Dyke (Edmund Lowe) makes his appearance, and sets to work to discover the murderer within the limited time available. Suspicion is cast upon many. Following Dyke’s entry into the case things, motve with a swiftness that is astonishing, but just as a witness of, the murder is about to divulge his knowledge to the inspector' he himself is murdered, and the progress of the investigations- receives a severe blowThe story has not only the advantage of •mystery, but is laid in a mysterious country—lndia, redolent with mysticism, where anything is likely to happen.
