LARNACH CASTLE FOR SALE Much public interest was taken in tha auction sale of Larnach Castle at Messrs Park, Reynolds Ltd. to-ddy, there being a large attendance, but not a single offer was made for the property. But after ho had described the property in detail and explained the conditions of sale there was silence* and he intimated before leaving the box that the place was open for private negotiation. Situated six miles from Dunedin oil a prominent point of Otago Peninsula* Larnach Castle, which was built in 1871* is said to have cost £100,000.1 It wa* purchased some years ago by Mr ; .T,Jackson Purdie, the present owner.
