Holmdale arrived, early this morning from Lyttelton, and is timed to sail at; 6 p.mi ; for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Opihi arrived from Wellington early this morning, and will sail about 4.30 this afternoon for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. Storm, from Wellington, arrived this morning, and sails to-night for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Waimarino was' to leave Bluff this afternoon to load out here to-morrow for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland.

- Holmglen, from Wellington, is due on Wednesday, and will sail that night for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Waikato. Waipiata was to leave Wellington today for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due here on Wednesday, and will sail the same day for Bluff; returning to load out on Saturday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, (Wellington,' and Auckland.

Port Waikato, from Wellington, is due on Thursday to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland, and Whangarei. Breesse is due from Bluff on Thursday. She sails the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. Totara leaves Wellington on Wednesday for Dunedin, being due here ou Friday to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and New Plymouth. ' . ■ Wingatui is the next sailing from Auckland, leaving there on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton; and Dunedin. She is due here on Thursday, June ,21. Paua, coastal tanker, ‘is due from Wellington via ports on June 23 to discharge motor spirit. She then proceeds to Bluff. TANKER MARIT ARRIVES. With oil fuel for discharge, the Norwegian motor tanker Marit arrived this morning from Balikpapau via Lyttelton. She-left Balikpapan on May 20, arriving at Lyttelton' on June 7. At Lyttelton she berthed at the skeleton of the new oil wharf which is being constructed outside the former wharf. It will be at least a year before this wharf and breastwork ai'.e completed. The Marit is scheduled to leave to-morrow on- her return trip to Balikpapan. ■ OR ARPS- ITINERARY. The Orari, which arrived at Auckland from Liverpool yesterday, will unload her cargo at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. Afterward the vessel will load for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow at Bluff, Lyttelton, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland., She is scheduled to clear Auckland finally on July 14 for London via Capo Horn. WAINUI IN THE MORNING. From Melbourne via Bluff, the Wainui is due here early to-morrow morning. Early in the afternoon she will sail for Lyttelton, Wellington, Oamaru, Bluff, and Melbourne. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN CARGO. The Kaimlro loads at Edithbuvg about June 23, and completes at Stenbouse Bay, Adelaide, and Melbourne for New Plymouth, Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Tarakohe, Lyttelton, Dtinedm, Westport, and Greymouth.

MONO WAX - FROM SYDNEY. The Monowai, which left Sydney ou Friday afternoon, was due at Auckland this afternoon. To-morrow she is to be despatched for Wellington and Sydney. . MAUNGANUI FOR OVERHAUL. The Royal Mail liner Maungauui, which , left Sydney on Thursday, was withdrawn from commission for overhaul and survey when she arrived at Wellington to-day. Her passengers, mail, and cai-go for Island ports and America will be transferred to tlie Makura, which has been recommissioned after overhaul, and will sail from Wellington for Rarotonga, Papeete, and San Francisco to-morrow. The Maunganui will resume running on July 10, and afterwards both vessels will continue in the Pacific service. THE KUMAIIA.

The Kuraara, which left London for Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Bluff on May 31, was originally the White Star Company’s' steamer Bardic until she was taken over by the Aberdeen Line and renamed Horatius. Recently she was transferred. to the present owners, and her name was changed to Kumara. She is a cruiser-stern vessel of 8,010 tons, and was built in 1919 at Belfast by Messrs Harland and Wolff. CAMBRIDGE LEAVES TO-MORROW. After 1 a brief delay in her loading of meat at Port Chalmers, the Cambridge will sail to-morrow morning, at 7 o’clock, for Timaru, Wanganui, Wellington, and Auckland to complete loading. She is to clear Auckland finally on June 28 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow via Panama. CORNWALL TO REPLACE ORARI NEXT TRIP. The Cornwall is to sail from Liverpool on September 22 in place of the Orari. The Cornwall will bring cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. THE CANADIAN LEADER. The Canadian Leader arrived at Auckland from Halifax last Thursday morning to unload about 700 tons of general cargo, consisting mostly of rolls of newsprint. Fine weather prevailed on the voyage until the vessel was nearing New Zealand, when continuous fresh head winds were encountered. She sailed that evening for Wellington and Australian ports to complete discharge. She arrived at Wellington last night, and will proceed to Australia to-morrow. THE MELBOURNE MARU, The .Melbourne Marti, after discliarg-mgcanff-Jdaffiug’Auckland,; is to sail and Brisbane; on Wednesday. Included in the cargo to be loaded for Japan will be over 1,000 tons of scrap metal. PORT BRISBANE TO LOAD. The Port Brisbane left Hamburg on May 10 and London on May 15 for Australian ports. On completion of discharge at Beauty Point, Tasmania, about July 4, she will sail for New Zealand for Homeward loading. ; TAP'D FROM NEW YORK.

The Tapti is to leave New York tomorrow for Auckland. She is due at Auckland on July 15, Wellington July 19, Lyttelton July 23, Dunedin July 24, thence Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. HUNTINGDON IN BALLAST. Tiie Huntingdon cleared Falmouth in ballast last Monday for New Zealand, where she will load for Great Britain. She, is due at her' first loading port about July 16. SHIPPING AT LYTTELTON. At last Wednesday’s meeting of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, the harbour master reported that during the month 134 trading vessels, representing 182,916 tons, had used the port, compared with ninetv-nine vessels and 153,196 tons in May, 1933. : I- SULPHUR PROM ITALY. The British steamer Fiscus (4,815 tons) is now en route from Italy to New Zealand ports with a cargo of sulphur. The vessel sailed from Gibraltar on May 22. PACIFIC COAST STRIKE. Owing to the waterfront strike at Pacific Coast ports of America, the Monterey did not proceed to San Francisco after leaving Los Angeles on May 31. Passengers who intended to embark at San Francisco probably proceeded by train to Los Angeles and joined the vessel there. The Monterey is due at Auckland on June 15, and will sail the same day for Sydney and Melbourne, j As far as is known locally the Ame- , rican steamer Golden Cloud and the i Union Company’s steamer Waihemo are j still delayed at Pacific Coast ports by j the strike. The Golden Cloud is at Tacoma waiting to unload cargo from Australia before she loads at Pacific Coast ports for Auckland, Wellington, and Australia. The Waihemo is at San Francisco. She is to continue loading at San Francisco before she proceeds to Los Angeles to complete loading for New Zealand ports and Australia. TANKER VARANGER. The Norwegian tanker Varanger is reported to have left Palembang with a bulk petrol cargo for discharge at Sydney. Melbourne, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. AORANGI’S LARGE OVERSEAS MAIL. Aii exceptionally large amount of mail is being brought by the Royal Mai! liner Aorangi, which was due at Auckland from Vancouver this morning. The vessel lias 2,163 bags of English and American mail, and 170 bags of parcels for the dominion. Another quantity of English and American mail will reach Auckla'nd by the Monterey, which will arrive from Los Angeles on ■ June 15. A third English mail will arrive this week by the Ruahine, which is due from London on Wednesday morning.
