According to the 1 Daily Mail ’ r: mance, in the form of a one-word wireless message, was sent to Mr Vincent Rouse, a member of an Oakworth firm of worsted spinners, across the globe. The word was “ Yes,” and was despatched by Miss Elaine Bloggs, of Toorak, Melbourne, to whom Mr Rouse proposed when she was in England. He asked her to consider his offer and to reply by wireless on her arrival in Australia., She did not wait until she reached home, but sent the message' from Suez.
