THIEVES AT GISBORNE
SEVERAL PREMISES ENTERED £Pb» TJkitbd Pkmi Ashociatiok.] : ' GISBORNE, June 9. , The premises of W. Good and Co'., jewellers, were entered overnight and jewellery valued at from £2OO to £3OO was stolen. The shop is of one story. Entry was effected by removing the frame of the skylight and sliding back the glass skylight, which is a considerable height above the floor, _ but the burglar apparently lowered himself on to the office desk._ The articles taken comprised small trinkets. All the more valuable jewellery was kept ini the safe, which was not disturbed. This week the Cash Stores, the Railway Station garage, and the butter factory’s office were entered, but except in the case of the Cash Stores nothing of any value.was taken.
