Expressing disappointment and surprise at the lack of candour shown by David James Richards in giving to the court a detailed account ot his financial dealings, Mr W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court, Wellington, sentenced Richards to imprisonment unless he pays maintenance for his wife and child. Richards, began an abusive attack on his wife, and at the magistrate’s direction was removed from court by the orderly.
