TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l would crave your indulgence once more, if only to connect “ Farmer’s ” evident misapprehension concerning the object of my attack. My quarrel is not with the small dairy farmer, to whom I extend my heartfelt sympathy,'but with a system that on the one hand virtually compels the milk producer to accept 6d or 8d a gallon, and on the other charges the consumer at least Is difference merely for the privilege of delivery, which, to my mind, is most unreasonable. Why is it that when a section of the community obtains a monopoly over a certain article the price of that article is invariably automatically advanced, though I may point out that the suburban producer has the remedy in his own hands, that of either delivering personally or arranging for the distribution. However, I have no intention of prolonging this controversy, so while my views remain unaltered I experience no hesitation in maintaining that I am, etc., Bitten Again. June 9.
