Bluff, Halfmoon Bay:— A rather intense anti-cyclone is advancing across the South Tasman Sea, but pressure remains low to the east, maintaining the somewhat unsettled conditions. Forecast: Light to fresh south to south-east winds. Weather cold and changeable, with passing Showers and some hail in places, but mainly oh and near the coast. Improving gradually. Seas moderate to rather, rough. - - SAILED.—Gun o f Waxmarino, s.s. (2.50 p.in.), 3,067 tons. Heed, for Bluff. John, s.s. (5.30 p.m.), 33.9 tons, Munro, for Waikato via ports. Gale, s.s. (6.30 p.m.), 367 tons, Davies, for New Plymouth via ports. Waimarino unloaded Japanese cargo, which she transhipped at Wellington from the Melbourne Manx, at Dunedin yesterday.' She sailed in the afternoon for. Bluff, whence she sails on Monday, and is expected back here on Tuesday to load and leave the same afternoon for Tima.ru, Lyttelton, AVellington, and Auckland. ' John sailed late yesterday afternoon for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Waikato.

Gale sailed last night for Oam'aru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. Sjtorm. is due on Monday morning from Wellington to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, 'and Wanganui. Opihi is expected on Monday morning from Wellington to load and sail the same day for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. Holmdale is due on Monday from Wellington and is timed to sail the same day for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, > Picton, and Wanganui. Waipiata sailed from Auckland last night and leaves Wellington on Monday for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Blulf. She is" due here on Wednesday, and will sail the same day for Bluff. - Holmglen, from Wellington, is due on Wednesday and will sail that night for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Waikato.

Breeze is due on Thursday from Bluff. She sails the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. Totara leaves Wellington on Tuesday and is due here the following day, sailing that day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and New'Plymouth. Port Waikato, from Lyttelton, is due bn Thursday to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Taurauga, Auckland, and Whangarei. THE CAMBRIDGE. It is hoped to despatch the Cambridge from Port Chalmers on Monday for Timaru. WAINUI TUESDAY MORNING. From Melbourne via Bluff, the Waiuui is due at Dunedin' on Tuesday morning. Later that day she will sail for Lyttelton, Wellington, Bluff, and Melbourne. CANADIAN SCOTTISH DELAYED. Having been delayed in Australia, the Canadian Scottish, from Halifax, is now due at Bluff on June 18 and at Dunedin on June 19. CARGO FROM CHINA. The Dunedin portion of the cargo shipped from Hongkong by the Taiping, which arrived at Sydney on June 3, will arrive here per the Waikouaiti, due on June 18. THE TANKER YARRAVILLE. The Vacuum Oil Company advises that the tanker Yarraville is due at Dunedin on Monday from San Francisco via Wellington, to discharge bulk motor spirit. She will sail about Tuesday for Melbourne and Townsville to complete discharge. CANADIAN VICTOR SAILS. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise that the Canadian Victor left Montreal on May 25 with Canadian cargo for discharge at Australian ports, Dunedin, and Lyttelton. She is due at Dunedin i about July 24.

OPAWA LEAVES GLASGOW. The Opawa, from Glasgow, is scheduled to leave Liverpool to-day for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. She is due at Auckland on July 18. MAKURA’S DEPARTURE. The departure of the Makura from Wellington for San Francisco, which was originally set down for Tuesday, has now been postponed until Wednesday. .MARIT WITH OIL FUEL. . The , Norwegian motor tanker’ - 1'- 1 ar t arrived at Lyileljon, IjOjii ILihk Papan yesterday morning Ur<Sischarge fuel oil. She was to sail to-day for Dunedin. INTERISLAND SER VICE. The interisland express steamer Rangatira arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.p5 this morning. Passengers and mails for the south connected with the express. ' ■ > PERSONAL. Messrs H. G. Luke and J. Waites have been appointed' chief and second engineers respectively of the Hawera, which recommissioned on Wednesday. Mi- R. L. Smith has been appointed second engineer of the Rangatira, relieving Mr R. Grhhani. Mr P. J. Kilkelly has joined the Karetu as assistant purser. He will go to Rarotonga and remain there during the fruit season. AN ISLAND CRUISE. H.M.S. Laburnum was to leave Auckland yesterday on a cruise to the South Sea Islands. The cruise will last three months, and the sloop is due back at Auckland on September 4. ' YARRAVILLE REPORTS, The tanker Yarraville, from Los Angeles with a cargo of motor spirit, arrived at. Wellington yesterday. She was expected to sail again to-day ,for Dunedin and Australia to complete discharge. RUAHINE REPORTS.

Ruahine will, arrive from London at daybreak on June 13| according to wireless advice. The vessel has passengers and mail for New Zealand and cargo for discharge at Auckland and Wellington. After discharge the vessel will load at Bluff, Gisborne, and Auckland. She is scheduled to clear Auckland for London" via Panama on July 14. ANTONIO WITH PHOSPHATES. The Antonio left Ocean Island last Saturday with a cargo of 7,750 tons of phosphates for Auckland, where she is due on June 13. ; I THE PORT FAIRY. The Port Fairy is scheduled tci leave London on June 20 for Suva, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Oamaru. POET WELLINGTON AT MONTEVIDEO. Advice has been received that the Port Wellington, which left Wellington on May 15 for London via Cape Horn and Montevideo, reached Montevideo last Saturday.
