IMPROVED RETURNS
SUEZ CANAL COMPANY Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright LONDON, June 8. (Received June 9, at 10 a.m.) The Suez Canal Company’s report shows that the net register tonnage passing through the canal in 1933 amounted to 30,677,000. an increase of 8.2 per cent, over 1932, and only 8.3 per cent, below the record year of 1929. The weight of tho cargo carried was 26,815;000 tons, an increase of 13.9 per cent, over 1932. The improvement has been accentuated in 1934.
