PROFESSOR CHAPMAN’S DEATH
THE ANALYST’S REPORT INQUEST TO BE HELD Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, June 8. The Government * analyst has - ; forwarded a report to the city coroner on Professor Chapman’s death; He states that he found traces of two drugs in the deceased’s organs capable of causing death by poisoning. An inquest will be held on Tuesday week.; ’ Sensational disclosures concerning the 'financial affairs 6f Professor-Henry George Chapman, director of ‘ cancer research 1 at the Sydney University, whose death was announced on May 26, were made 'in _ the Bankruptcy Court upon a petition by the Royal Society alleging that" Chapman, as treasurer, had misappropriated the society’s funds amounting to £3,360, and ' stating that the society held 'ho security over his estate. It was- revealed on June 1 that the doctor refused to give a certificate of Chapman’s death. The police commenced investigations, and the Government pathologist conducted a post-mortem examination and forwarded the stomach contents to ah analyst.
