Press Association—By Tclejiaph —Copyright.
NEW YORK, April 1. (Received April 2, at 1 p.m.) Prices dropped violently on the Stock Exchange to-day, with a general loss of one to twelve points. Shares were renewed at ten. Call money rose to 15 per cent. All the leading issues suffered losses, but some rallied slightly toward the close. Much uneasiness was felt as a. result of the meeting of the Federal Reserve governors at Washington, hut no definite announcements were given out by them.—Australian Press Association.
