'ME GANGSTER'
COMING TO EVERYBODY'S w With about the same frequency that’ leap year rolls around a picture soineff to the screen which flagrantly defies the conventions and still furnishes good entertainment. Such is claimed for ‘Me, Gangster,’ an adaptation of Charles Francis Coe’s story of the same title. Primarily ‘Me, Gangster’ is tho story of just an average boy who lacks parental influence or precept and who has a lot of idle time ou his hands,with the inevitable result. He gets into trouble through his associations,escapes tho law by narrow margins, and finally is caught,, and becomes firmly convinced that yeti cannot be a criminal and win. Aside from the fact that the picture furnishes plenty of human drama and is finely enacted, if proves that a picture of crime and criminals, thieves and police, running battles, and all else may he filmed without the aid of machine and riof guns, the taking of human life, lurid melodrama, and all the other accepted formulas which have drenched stories of this sort in the past. Don Terry, a former Harvard athlete, plays tho leading role in his very first appearance ou the screen. June Collycr isf the girl in the case.
