CRUCiS'S CUP PAQXJITO WINS AGAIN. * SYDNEY, April 1. The Australian Jockey Club’s ’Autumn Meeting was continued at Randwick in ideal weather and on au excellent track. The attendance was 78,000. The absence of the champions robbed the juvenile events of considerable interest. The little-fancied Cruris, after running prominently throughout the race, cleared out from the field nt the distance and wot. the Cup with ease. New Zealand’s representative (Paquito) followed Saturday’s success with a smart win in the ’local Handicap. Results:—

Passing the half-mile Margarethal had charge, followed by Sir Christopher, King’s Arms, ’ and Cleave. Margarethal led into the straight, ahd maintained her advantage, winning by a head. Turning for home Sir Ribble showed the way to Greenmoth, Cathmar, and Carradale. The last-named challenged at the distance. and after a keen struggle gained the victory by half a head. Passing, the stand Black Duchess was the pacemaker, Tunning ahead of Kidaides, Soulton, Crucis, and Winabt. At the mile Black Duchess was three lengths ahead ot the field, then Kidaides, Crucis, Paddi Eve, nnd Winalot At the half-mile the field closed on Black Duchess. Turning for home Black Duchess had a slight advantage of Crucis and Kidaides. Crucis cleared away from the field at the distance, and won with ease by four leiighhs. Time, 3min 23isec.
