About L‘J.OOO people attended at the Kilhinue Stadium. Wellington, on Saturday night for tho dirt track motor cycle racing. Miss Lay Taylor failed in her effort to break the track record for one mile, the machine breaking down on entering the fourth la,n. The record was subsequently broken by Gus Clifton (Australia), who'did a mile in Imin 61 4-ssec. The New Zealand dirt track championship was iron by Dave iUanayh, of lialcomho, in Imin 40 2-ssec. There were several spills, but no mio was injured except Till .Morgan, who received slight, concussion.
