NOW YORK, March dO. A transcontinental foot race to I,os Angeles will begin here, fo-niormw. The prizes total GO.OOOdnI, 25,000 of which will go to Hie winner and 10.000 to the second man. There are 167 competitors, Hio youngest of whom is twenty-one years of ago, and the oldest sixty-three yea rs.
