Nationally known sportsmen and sportswomen at San Mateo were bidders for thirty polo ponies offered by Australians. The offers were not spirited, and the prices ranged from aOOdol to 3,200d0i, the latter being pa id for Collingwood. Tho same purchaser also obtained two other -prize ponies— Flicker for 2.801 idol and Reowing for o.jOdol. Five others of the better ponies went for price* Hinging between 22(Jd01 and L’oOdol. Air Dallingham purchased Starling for 2,200d0i and Lady Olive for 2.30'1d01, The majority of the animals sold around 1,200d0l. —Australian Press Association.
