A message from S.yez/.ia states that the Italian" submarine Mameli successfully passed a pressure test, heating the world’s depth record by reaching 117 metres, which is twelve metres more than the previous record, attained last year by a submarine of the Ballilia type. The Munich, which is sixty-five metre' long and 820 lons, was built at the Tin ano shipyards.—-Australian Press Association.
