During Mr Scott’s lornyears in Dunedin, although a chaplain ou the Deserve .Gist, he has attended camp each year with the 14th Battery, New Zealand Artillery, and in addition has always been available for refresher camps held at the Central Battery afe St. Kilda. In view of the work of Mr Scott, he was restored to the Active* List of chaplains until dune 24, ITCM. This will enable him to ipialify for the New Zealand service medal, and has carried with it the promotion that has now been gazetted. Air W. A. Low. who has been representing .1. C. Williamson, Ltd., in the South Island, has received instructions to proceed to Wellington to advance tho Midnight Frolics’ North Island tour, finishing at Auckland Alay Ifi, Ho then joins the, new' .Imported American Company, playing the mystery drama, ‘ The Wrecker,) for a comprehensive tour of tho dominion. Afr G. R. Smith, having been approached by the North-east Valley Progress League, has consented to allow himself to be, nominated for a seat on the City Council. Air D. G. Wylos, radio engineer for Idle National KJoetrical Company, has resigned Ids postion to accept an appointment as radio engineer and sales promotion manager at Melbourne lor Philips Lamps ('Australasia), Ltd. Air Wylos will leave for Sydney on Friday next. The Rev. G. R. Peterson, who was ordained at the last Methodist Conference and appointed to Roxburgh, was on Wednesday evening I'arewelled by the congregation of the ,St. Clair Church, to whom ho has ministered for two years. The Rev. AV. B. Scotty superintendent of the Cargill Road circuit, presided, and the other speakers were Air C. J. Lowery on behalf of tho church, Aliss Powell ns spokeswoman for tho ladies, and Air J. T. Barclay as representing the circuit. Each made acknowledgment of Afr Peterson’s services, and wished him continued success in his new charge. A well-fiiled purse was presented by Mr Scott ns from tho congregation. Mr Peterson is to be married at Christchurch on Tuesday next. Air J. Aliller, railway goods agent at Dunedin, has begun his three weeks’ leave, the officer temporarily in chargo being Air J. A. Roswell.
