From Bluff the Waipiata. came in yesterday to take in cargo for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. Another arrival yesterday was the Gale from Wanganui via ports. She is to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Rictou, and Wanganui. According to cable advice received, the motor ship Borb Hobart arrived at London on March 24 from Wellington, from which port she sailed on February LL The Kaifcuna, from Australian ports, is expected here about April 8, after celling at BJnff. She later goes to Lyttelton, New Plymouth, and Auckland.

The Vacuum Oil Company advises that tho tanker Plume was despatched from San Francisco on March 0 with a full cargo of bulk oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland to-morrow. CANADIAN CARGO. The Canadian Challenger, en route from Halifax to Auckland, is reported to havo arrived at Panama on .March 22. ARRIVAL AT NEW YORK. • Cabled news states that tho Canadian Transporter, from Auckland, arrived at New York on March 21. DEPARTURE FROM PANAMA. Tho Port Caroline, from Wellington, left Panama on Monday morning frr London, where she is duo on April 2. THE CITY OF ROUBAIX. Telegraphic news from Auckland states that the City of Roubaix arrived there yesterday morning from Now York. She discharges cargo at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. PERSONAL. Air S. C. Maslen, second engineer of the Gale, has transferred to the Storm in a similar capacity, relieving Mr R. Gaston. Air Gaston has been appointed chief engineer of the Gale. Air T. Stevenson, who has been on transfer at Wellington, Ims been appointed acting second officer of tho Kanna at Greymouth, relieving Air W. • Keho’e, who has been appointed acting chief officer. Air Dawson, the late chief officer, is proceeding to Wellington for instructions. Air J. Y. Broadhousc has joined the Kairanga as third officer at Wellington. The late third officer, Mr D. C. Champion, was invalided ashore at Portland on March 8. Captain G. D. Fraser, late master of the Gorinna, has been appointed to command of the Waimea, relieving Captain Inman, who has come ashore on sick leave. Mr G. H.
