HAWKE GUP DISPUTE [Pee United Press Association.] NAPIER, March 27. In connection with the Hawke ,Cup clispuLo, it is pointed out here that Hawke’s Hay never claimed that the cup should be forfeited to it by Mnnawatn. The actual resolution passed by the association at the meeting read: “That the New Zealand Cricket Council be written to requesting that in' the event of the Hawke Cup being forfeited by Manawatu (the holders) to Iho Now Zealand Cricket Council for failing to piny against .Hawke’s Hay on the date definitely instructed by the council, Hawke’s Hay lie granted amatch against Nelson at Easier, such, match to be for the. Hawke Cup, and to be played at Napier. ’’
