At the Centra] Overhaul Depot of the London General Omnibus Company a bus can be stripped down to the last nut, thoroughly overhauled, and rebuilt “as good as new” in twelve hours. The depot covers thirteen acres, employs 3,000 men, and deals with 4,000 buses a year.
