MOSGIEL TRAINS.

TO TEE EDITOR. Sir, —I June often wondered why more people do not go out to Mosgiel and intermediate stations to Jive, instead of remaining in highly-taxed and flooded areas in Dunedin, but I have now come to the conclusion that it is j only the erratic train service that prevents such a happening. Jake some other poor unfortunates, I have been I several times warned by mv employers I that “next time must be the last,” so it is little wonder that we arc forced | hack into the city and othcis prevented •' from going nut lo the suburbs, as it ! seems impossible For the Railway Department to run to schedule. The workers’ train this morning was fifteen minutes’ late in leaving Mosgiel, consequently arriving in Dunedin at seven and a-half minutes to S instead of twenty minutes to S. This sort of i thing is unreasonable, and happens ' much ton frequently on this run. If ! it is not duo to the picking up of ; horses from Wingatui there would _at < least bo some satisfaction in knowing '■ the real cause. It seems most unfair ■to expect workers (and employers as j well) to tolerate this sort of thing, and I I for one am forced to get back into j town for no oilier reason than that given above —T must get to work “up to lime.”—-T am. etc., ; Fed Ur and Disappointed. March 27.
