In the event of war between Hankow and Nanking arising out of tho present quarrel, it seems that nothing will stop Canton from throwing in its lot with the Hankovv side, thereby involving the whole of tho south, i.ho military leaders in Canton are already taking active steps. Thousands of troops have been despatched hv special trains northwards. At least 30,000 will bo ready to cross the Kianmsi border.—United Service,
