ARTILLERY BAND
T),c annual meeting of the 3rd Artillerv Bn ml was held in the band room, Central Battery, St. Kilda, on Saturday last. The ollicer commanding (Major L. A. Rhodes) presiding over a full attendance of members. In presenting the annual report. Major Rhodes said the financial position of the hand was most satisfactory, due to tho hard work of the conductor (Mr D. Whelan) and the secretary (Mr L. J. Fahey). After the annual report and balance-sheet had been read and adopted, the business of electing officers for the ensuing year was proceeded with. A merit modal donated by Lieutenant L. J. Fahey was presented to V. II Lcask. Major Rhodes, who is making a trip to England, was the recipient of a useful gift as a token of the band’s appreciation.
