Tiie directors of John Fuller and Sons, Ltd., announce that owing to the proximity of the Easter vacation, and in order to enable country investors to have ample time for lodging their applications, they have extended until Tuesday, April 30, the, closing date for their issue of £300,000 first mortgage debenture stock. The Bank of New Zealand lias received Hie following advice from its London office as at tfic dose of business last week;—Butter: Slow; 163 s to 166 s per cwt, Cheese: Steady; white 88s to 89s per cwt, coloured 89s to 90s per cwt. Frozen meat; There is a little hotter demand lor wethers, hut the market lor ewes is quiet and unchanged. For lambs the market is firmer for lighter weights, and it is f bought that prices have readied the bottom. The beef market is short of supplies, and prices are nominal. Wethers—light, Gfd to 7}d per lb; heavy 4ld to s,|d per lb. Ewes—4d to sid per lb. Lambs—twos, 9d to 9kl per lb; eights, BJd to 8-kl per Jb; fours, Bjd fo B.]d per lb; seconds, to 9d per Jb. Ox hinds, 5d to s ld per lb; fores, 4d to 4pi per lb; cow hinds, dpi to 43d per Jb; fores, 33d to 4d per lb. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. Messrs Dalgciy and Co., Ltd., report as follows; Oats.—Threshing lias been hold up by wet weather, and not many samples have been coming to hand. The demand has improved slightly, and heavy A’s are saleable to millers at up to 3s. From samples received so far the crop generally seems to be a very good one. Quotations: A grade Cartons, 2s lOd to 3s; B grade Cartons, 2s 7d to 2s Bd, on trucks, country sidings (sacks extra). Wheat.—Not many samples of free wheat are coining to hand, and are readily saleable at the following prices:—Tuscan, s’s 8cl; Hunter’s, 5s lOd to Gs; Velvet, (is 4d to Gs (kl, on trucks, country sidings (sacks extra). Chaff. —Cutting is not yet general, and supplies coming to hand are sufficient to meet the restricted local_ demand. Best oaten sheaf is realising from £5 10s to £5 los, os truck, Dunedin (sacks extra). Potatoes.—The recent wet weather has delayed digging, and supplies reaching the city have recently been small.
