AO ESS SHIELD COMPETITION Twenty selected rinks from tlio bowling ’dubs in and around Dunedin are talcing part in the competition on the Otago green for the A Jess Shield. _ In all six rinks were played this morning, while, the remaining fourteen arc to be played later. The green was heavy at the outset owing to tho rain during the week, but improved as the morning progressed under the bright sun.
