An official, bulletin states that as the rebel commander faced the firing squad he said: “At this solemn moment 1 wish to be an example to the army. .1 die tranquilly with the knowledge that I did what .1 believed to be my duty, but I counsel you not to follow my course. Now, boys, shoot here ” (as he covered his heart with his hand. Don’t hit my'face.”—Ifni ted Service.
